IGNITION India 2025 marks a milestone in early careers

At Optum India, we believe in the power of possibility — where fresh perspectives meet purpose-driven innovation. This year, we hosted IGNITION India 2025, our flagship onboarding experience for early career talent, welcoming nearly 100 new employees hired in 2024 across enterprise roles. More than an event, IGNITION represents our commitment to nurturing talent and accelerating their journey within the organization.

A dynamic 3-day experience

Held from September 27–29, 2025 at the Grand Hyatt Gurgaon, IGNITION offered an immersive platform designed to spark growth, deepen business acumen and foster lasting connections.

Throughout the 3 days, participants engaged in:

  • Interactive workshops and collaborative learning sessions
  • Leadership dialogues with global leaders
  • Networking opportunities to build peer and mentor relationships
  • Wellness sessions led by renowned expert Shyamal Valabhjee

The agenda blended professional development with cultural showcases and moments of celebration, reinforcing that at Optum, community and connection are at the heart of everything we do. Participants had the unique opportunity to hear from and interact with inspiring leaders, including:

  • Uma Ratnam Krishnan, Managing Director, Optum India
  • Sue Arthur, Chief Operating Officer, Optum
  • Harish Gudi, Chief Information Officer, Optum India
  • Jennifer Chapman, SVP, People Team, Optum Rx and Optum Global

Celebrating growth and purpose

IGNITION was enriched with discussions on development paths, empowering participants to envision and shape their future at Optum. Cultural events and networking sessions added vibrancy, making the experience both impactful and memorable.

As IGNITION India celebrates its first anniversary in 2025, it stands as a cornerstone of the employee experience for full-time early career colleagues in enterprise roles — whether in rotational or non-rotational programs. This milestone underscores our belief that when talent is empowered, transformation follows.
