Chief Operating Officer, Operations and Country Lead, Optum Global Solutions (India) Private Limited
Nishid has been with Optum for over 11 years. In his current role, he oversees and provides leadership on growth, strategy, delivery and governance to Optum payment integrity and risk adjustment operations. He is based out of Hyderabad.
He has accountability for the commercial projects of Optum in India and UHC India/UHC Parekh. Nishid also runs the workforce management, business quality, IT shared services and business continuity functions for Optum India.
In his previous roles, he has been responsible for growing and managing most of the Optum operations in India and the Philippines such as Optum Rx, Optum customer services, business quality and more.
He is also responsible for leading over 10 Optum India sites in 5 cities, accountable for capacity, infrastructure, real estate, regulatory and compliance. He leads the business continuity function for OGS India and the transport operations.
Nishid is responsible for driving the strategy and implementation of -the work-from-home and return-to-office plans for India, working very closely with several enterprise leaders, including Dr. Migliori. He has also been on the forefront of expanding the India locations and leading the concept, design, and implementation of new sites, including the Gurgaon 3 and Hyderabad campuses.
Nishid is very passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). He is a core member of both the LGBTQ+ initiative at Optum India and the DEI India leadership team.
With an overall diverse experience of 26 years, he has worked with many companies, among them General Electric, DELL and Unisys in various leadership roles in strategy, P&L Management and large scale operations.
A mechanical engineer by education, he is Six Sigma GB certified and has attended the flagship International Leadership Program at the London School of Business.
